Family

It's our joy to come alongside parents, encouraging and equipping them to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Our children's ministries provide a safe, fun environment where we teach God's Word; declaring His glory to the next generation. In 2 Timothy 3:15, Paul commends Timothy: "...from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus". This is our hope for each child at Countryside. In addition to our children's ministries, we also provide teaching and fellowship groups for young married couples, and families with young children.

Children's Ministry Events

Family Ministries

Awana

Awana is a fun, high-energy club where kids study and memorize Scripture, play team games, and enjoy special activities throughout the school year. Awana clubs celebrate the gospel of Christ, with a particular emphasis on Scripture memorization. Our Awana clubs for kids age 3 – 12th grade meet on Sunday evenings during the school year.

We need a variety of ministry-approved high school students and adult volunteers to serve in Awana.

Children's Sunday School

In Children’s Sunday School, kids are taught an overview of the Bible using the Generations of Grace curriculum. Music and activities reinforce the truth of each week’s lesson. Each week, we work to learn a catechism question and review previous questions throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to discuss what their kids are learning and review catechism questions with their kids at home.

Children's Choirs

Our children’s choirs meet during the school year from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on the Wednesday night of Home Fellowship weeks (typically twice a month). We emphasize a mix of favorite hymns and choruses, along with fun Scripture songs for Bible memorization. The choirs perform twice a year in the main worship services.

Hearts of Hope

Hearts of Hope encourages and equips families who are involved with or interested in learning more about adoption and foster care. We gather several times throughout the year for fellowship and training.

Nursery

The nursery is both a service to parents and the initial phase of our Children’s Ministry. As the children grow, we introduce them to foundational truths like “the Bible is true” and “God is good.” We also begin to train them to participate in more formal class structures, with times of singing and short biblical stories.

Preschool Playdate

Join us on Friday mornings at 9:30 am for a great time of unstructured play in the Gym and Jungle Gym. All kids preschool and younger are invited. During the summer we have Kids Playdate and elementary aged children are welcome as well.

All children must be accompanied by a parent.

Special Needs

We minister to children with special needs during both morning worship services and at other special events, providing a flexible, safe, and welcoming environment to share the love of God and the joy of His gospel.

July 15-19 | 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Vacation Bible School is a fun-filled week for all kids entering 1st - 5th grade. Each day begins at 9:00 am and closes at 12:30 pm with all the kids assembled for music, skits and more. During the day, kids will enjoy snacks, games, crafts, activities, and a Bible lesson and memorization time. All parents are invited to join us for our closing assembly on Friday night at 7:00 pm.

Young Families

Our young family ministries meet on Home Fellowship Weeks. During each gathering, we share a meal, study God's Word, and pray.
