Counselor Training Resources
Introduction
The Counseling ministry seeks to equip the body of Christ to better “speak the truth in love” to one another so the church is built up into the likeness of Christ (Eph 4:15).
One essential part of this ministry is to train counselors who can come alongside those who request counseling. If you have this link, you have begun the discipleship counseling training and have indicated your desire to serve as a counselor at Countryside.
This page exists to provide everything needed for counselors in training to track their level of training completion and provide access to all document resources.
Course Syllabus
The course syllabus is the definitive and comprehensive resource for all the class training, projects, and reading assignments for Level 1 of the fundamentals training. Resources mentioned in the syllabus, that are needed to complete assignments, are found in the Resource Library "All Documents" link on the right side of this page.
At the very bottom of the syllabus is a schedule to stay on track. We are behind in this delivery, but do your best to get in alignment with the schedule and deliverables. The first thing on the schedule is to read through the syllabus entirely.

Assignment Completion
The tracking system used to track and submit homework is Canvas. You have received an invite to the service if you're enrolled in a Counselor Training cohort. Please see the quick overview introduction video to Canvas here.
Inside Canvas, all assignments are listed with a schedule. All resources can also be found on Canvas or on the "All Documents" page, found in the upper right area of this page. All homework check-offs for completion and deliverables are inside Canvas. Please email CDCTraining@countrysidebible.org if there are questions or access issues regarding Canvas
