Membership
Membership in a local church is vital to the spiritual health of each believer. The local church provides a place for corporate worship, fellowship, accountability, and opportunities to serve alongside fellow Christians. Below is some information on biblical membership and how to complete the membership process here at Countryside.

Believer's Baptism
Baptism is a critical step of obedience to our Lord Jesus. If you are a believer and have not yet been baptized, we urge you to pursue Christian baptism.
Countryside approves membership only for those who have been baptized since their conversion.
If you would like to learn more about believer's baptism or apply to be baptized, please visit our Baptism page.
Membership Process at Countryside
1. Apply for Membership
Please carefully read our Doctrinal Statement and Church Distinctives. To preserve the unity of Christ's church it is important that you understand and agree with those truths that are critical to the gospel. Each adult desiring membership must fill out their own form; please be clear and detailed so we can understand your life and experiences. Once you complete your application, you will receive a link to register for a membership class.
*Occasionally, the online form will "time-out" if left open for too long. Applicants are welcome to type their answers into a word document and then copy/paste them into the form to avoid the risk of losing their work.
2. Attend the Membership Class
The Membership Class typically meets once each quarter. The class meets for three (3) consecutive Sundays, typically in the South Building. You must attend all classes to proceed with the membership process.
Upcoming Membership Classes
January, 2025 | 9:30 am | South Building
April, 2025 | 9:30 am | South Building
July, 2025 | 9:30 am | South Building
October, 2025 | 9:30 am | South Building
3. Interview with the Leadership
After completing your application and attending the 3-week membership class, you will be able to interview with one of the church leaders. This will be an opportunity for you to share your testimony of faith with them, explain why you desire to be a member of Countryside, and discuss what areas of ministry you might be able to serve in.
4. Introduction and Reception
Once your membership is approved, you will receive a letter of confirmation and an invitation to participate in a membership introduction and reception. A few times each year, at the end of the evening worship service, the pastor will introduce each new member to the congregation. After the service concludes, the new members and their families will join the congregation for an informal reception.
