Child Protection Policy

Your child’s safety and security are some of our primary concerns. For this reason, we are very careful who we allow to serve in our children’s ministry. All workers with minors must be approved per our Child Protection Policy. This policy requires workers to be a regular part of our church and to have passed a criminal background check.

Childcare Worker Approval

To become an approved worker, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Regularly attend Countryside for at least six (6) months.
  2. Read the Child Protection Policy Manual (see below).
  3. Complete the CBC Working with Minors application and background check.

Policy and Procedure Manual

We have a detailed Policy and Procedure Manual which specifies rules and procedures that all children’s ministries follow. As an example, all classrooms must have two approved adult workers in them at all times when children are present.

Working with Minors Application & Background Check

If you are 18 years or older, you must complete and submit the Childcare Worker Approval form for evaluation by ministry leaders. If you are under 18, you must complete the Youth in Ministry approval process. Once you have received notice of approval, visit the Children's page of our website to see volunteer opportunities and to register to serve in a particular ministry. If you have questions regarding the policy or approval process, please contact the church office.
