Barbara began attending Countryside in 1992. She soon began volunteering in the youth ministry and then joined as a member in 1994. Since 2004 she has been on staff as Secretary to the Senior Associate Pastor. She also volunteers in the Sunday morning children's ministry.

Barbara is a native Texan and has always lived here in the mid-cities area. In 1978, she gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at the University of Texas - Arlington. Barb now resides in Roanoke.
