Christian baptism by immersion is the solemn and beautiful testimony of a believer. It is a public demonstration of the believer's faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, and their union with Him in death to sin and resurrection to a new life. It is also a sign of fellowship and identification with the visible Body of Christ.

Baptism is a critical step of obedience to our Lord Jesus. If you are a believer and have not yet been baptized, we urge you to pursue Christian baptism. Here is some information on biblical baptism and how to complete the baptism process here at Countryside.

2. Attend a Baptism Class

After you complete your application, you will receive a link to register for the next available baptism class. We hold these classes several times per year in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 pm to 5:45 pm. During the class, a variety of topics will be covered, including:

  • What is the Gospel?
  • What is Baptism?
  • Who Should Be Baptized?
  • Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?
  • How does the Baptism Process work at Countryside?

Upcoming Baptism Classes

  • Sunday, January 14, 2024 - 4:30pm

3. Be Baptized

After successfully completing your baptism application and the baptism class, you could be eligible to participate in the last milestone: the Baptism Service.

A few times throughout the year, our evening worship service is designated as a Baptism Service. After a time of worship in music, each participant will share their testimony with the congregation before being baptized. These services are a highlight in the life of the church as each one shares the wonderful work of salvation that Christ has done in their life.

Upcoming Baptism Services

  • Sunday, February 11 and Sunday, March 10 - 6:00pm
