Dallas & Alexia Turner

On Board Ministry

Dallas graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and pastored for eleven years in Kerrville, Texas. Dallas began his missionary work in 1986 with a trip to Kenya to evangelize. In 2000, Dallas and Alexia founded On Board Ministry (OBM) to train pastors and laymen in doctrine. As OBM’s ministry has increased, they have opened a School of Theology, and trained local men for leadership within the organization. Pastor Stanley Nyalala is Director of Churches, Pastor Geofrey Kurgat is Director of Discipleship, and Martin Tsuma is Director of Education.

OBM’s ministry begins with evangelism, and continues through discipleship, training, and church planting. OBM encourages believers through a one-on-one discipleship program, and trains local men who have been called to ministry using a ten-course seminary curriculum written by Dr. Alvin Low of Dallas Theological Seminary. They also identify areas where churches need to be planted.

In a recent trip, OBM member Dan Trantham worked in Kenya to develop and implement a strategy for OBM School of Theology graduates to plant new churches. He also visited Countryside Bible Church in Taveta, where Geofrey Kurgat ministers to the Maasai tribe. Dan dedicated their new church building, which was made possible by a generous donor.
