Vacation Bible School

July 13-17, 2020 at 9:30am

Southlake, Texas — Countryside Children’s Ministries are launching a new kid-focused streaming channel, “The Ends of the Earth Travel Network,” premiering on July 13 at 9:30am. This interactive programming is sponsored by Mission Air and will focus on the gospel and the need for all people everywhere to hear and respond to it. We have already contracted with some of the finest acting talent and producers around. Plan to join us for a great week that will be super fun for kids and super simple for parents!

  • The programs will be designed for kids going in to kindergarten through 5th grade, but all are welcome to participate.
  • The broadcast will be interactive with crafts, activities, and games designed to help your child engage with the programs.
  • A supply box with craft and activity materials and a t-shirt will be available for pick up for registered local viewers. Registered out of town participants will receive digital resources and a recommended supply list ahead of time.
  • Each day's broadcast will be roughly 75-90 minutes and will also be available after they have streamed that day.
  • Register below.

Virtual VBS FAQ

Sounds fun, but I'm not sure I can (or want to) run a VBS in my house?

This is not simply a "typical" VBS in your home. While it will include many similar elements (crafts, skits, lessons, music, activities, etc.), don't think you will be in charge of running those things for your kids! Our travel network will feature a variety of programs that direct them through these elements and we have picked crafts and other activities that are simple and intended to be easily completed at home. So while some supervision and assistance will be helpful, we are working to make it as easy as possible for parents or other guardians to facilitate this VBS at home. In addition, we will provide a concise parent guide that gives you an overview and additional details that will be helpful throughout the week.

We really want to be involved, but we can't participate on those dates or times?

Not a problem! You can still register, get your supplies or digital resources (if you are not local) and participate later in the day or even during another week. While a few elements (submitting completed memory verses, etc.) are time-sensitive, the vast majority of the VBS can be enjoyed at any time.

Can I register my out of town family member or friend as a local participant so they can receive the supply box and t-shirt?

Supply boxes and t-shirts will be available for pickup at various times the week before VBS, starting Wednesday evening, July 8. If you would like to pick their supplies up and deliver or mail them to them, you are welcome to do that, but we will not be arranging delivery or mailing of supplies.

The friends we've invited won't commit yet, should I still register them?

While we have planned for a significant number of kids to participate, we do have a limited number of boxes and t-shirts available. Once we open pick-up on Wednesday evening, July 8, we will make extras available for purchase when you are picking up your supplies. So, at that point, if you hope two neighbor kids might participate, you can pick up two extra boxes, but until then we prefer to keep registration to those who are planning to be involved so all have a chance to get the supplies and shirt size they need.

When can we pick-up our supply boxes?

Supply boxes and t-shirts for local participants will be available for pick-up in the Children's Building:

  • Wednesday, July 8, 6:30pm-9:00pm
  • Friday, July 10, 10:00am-4:00pm
  • Sunday, July 12, 10:00am-10:45am and 12:15pm-2:00pm
